Topaz offer a range of photo editing tools which can be bought separately, or as part of a Utility bundle, which includes Sharpen AI, as well as DeNoise AI, Gigapixel AI and JPEG to RAW AI. It’s available as a standalone app or a plugin for Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or Topaz Studio. If 4.0.1 works for you, good on ya and I hope you enjoy it.Topaz Sharpen AI is a sharpening and shake reduction photo retouching software, which can help make blurry or out-of-focus areas of your photos sharper. Thanks for letting me vent I feel better. Of course I will never, never, never buy another product from Topaz. Now I am downloading the 3.3.6 installer, then I will uninstall 4.0.1, then I will run the 3.3.6 installer and if I am lucky I'll be back where I started before they wasted an hour of my time. ![]() Oh, wait, I didn't see any fine print: apparently I'm supposed to just magically know my upgrade license has expired without anyone telling me. ![]() Yeah, so I was a fool to trust Topaz and click a prompt without reading the fine print. Finally got the program to open on Windows 10.Īnd NOW they tell me I need to renew my upgrade license! I opened Sharpen AI, clicked the "upgrade available" prompt, downloaded the install file, ran it, couldn't open the program, got the manual download, ran that, opened Sharpen AI, got another "upgrade available" prompt (we're on 4.0.1 now), downloaded that, installed it, tried to log into my Topaz account, reset my password, tried again and couldn't get in, uninstalled Topaz, ran the install file again, lather, rinse, repeat. I do agree that the latest versions do have a significantly reduced level of artifacts Using an old version of Denoise 6 literally knocks spots off it I have been trying a version of 3,3.6 & the denoising seems to be weak compared to earlier versions of Sharpen. Is the Denoise facility in this latest version of Sharpen working fully? ![]() Processing was about 10% to 20% faster on my aging Windows 10 system, and no crashes! The last 4 versions would crash after 10 to 20 executions, and I had to close and relaunch Photoshop to fix that. The default settings are very good (far from true before), and the results are superior by far to prior versions. I'm happy to say that Version 4.0 is a significant improvement. Today I installed and tested the new Version 4.0. Historically, each new version would solve some prior problems, but introduce new ones. The images include easy and hard sharpening needs, and many that showed significant failures of Sharpen AI (mostly weird artifacts). I've kept a library of Topaz Sharpen AI test images, each with multiple layers listing the version and settings used.
